Day 10 of Blogmas is finally here. And now we are in the double digits in the countdown for Christmas, I thought it would be a good idea to discuss potential gift ideas for the movie lovers in your life.

I am someone who loves receiving film related gifts. Not only does it make me super happy to add film related memorabilia to my collection, but it also shows me that the people around me know me enough to buy me movie related gifts (or maybe I just talk about movies that much, people don't know anything else about me).

So let's get started. Here are some potential gift ideas for movie lovers...

1. Scratch-Off Posters.

These are not only a fun activity to do throughout the year, but it also allows indecisive movie fans to pick a fan from a list. I have a few of these lists and they are so fun!

They fit on the back of a door and only require something to scratch-off the image (a coin will do). There are loads of different options to choose from so you can cater your choice to whatever the person your buying for loves.

Some example includes:

- 100 Movies Bucket List.

- 100 Children Movies.

- 100 Cult Classics.

- 100 Horror Movies.

- 100 Comedy Movies.

2. Funko Pop Vinyls.

By now, I think everyone knows what these are, but just incase you don't. They are a line of collectible figures that has become super popular due to the wide range of licensed pop culture collectibles that they create. These are great gifts for secret Santa presents as they are inexpensive and small, and yet can be very specific for the particular person you are buying them for.

There are thousands of character options now, ranging from movie, tv show and game characters which all include normal, limited edition and collectors editions.

You can help a person develop their already established collection, or you can help someone start a new hobby and buy them their first pop.

3. Limited Edition/Collector Edition Boxsets.

If you know what the receiver's favourite movie is, maybe find a limited edition or collector's edition boxset for them to keep forever. These are usually slightly more expensive than the usual DVD as they are special edition but they are distinctive and extraordinary so make for a great gift!

4. Movie Journals and Books.

One of my favourite gifts to receive is journals, but especially movie related ones, and film related coffee books. I love being able to physically record down my movie thoughts and opinions and physically hold something that has iconic imagery and facts from my favourite movies in.

Some of my favourite options include

- Movie Review Journals - can be found on amazon. This will allow your receiver to become a film critic and jot down all of their opinions on films in one place!

- Film Listography Books - can be found at Waterstones or any other bookshops.

- Archival Books from Directors and Studios.

5. Official/Unofficial merchandise.

Merchandise is always a great present. Not only is it something practical but it can also be tailored to the specific person.

I love receiving t-shirts and hoodies with iconic imagery or quotes from my favourite movies! Another great option is mugs and glasses, considering these are things that are used daily, they will always come in handy for movie fans!

I love using official websites for merchandise, however, the prices and shipping costs can be extortionate so I use shops and wesbites such as etsy, redbubble and 8ball to find my movie merchandise!

Also, try looking for smaller businesses on social media that design movie merchandise. I have linked a few below for you to look at.

I hope this has helped you think of some new ideas for your potential gifts this year. Remember, cinema tickets, DVD's and subscription gift cards (such as Netflix) are still all great gifts for the movie lovers in your life!
